The drought in the US has undoubtedly hit extremely hard in California and probably more than any other state but here in Menifee, there are a lot of fun and exciting places to cool off and have a great time! Here are the top 7 places in Menifee to cool off (and maybe have a drink or two!):

Menifee Lake Country Club: From the beautiful scenery to their elegant ballroom, this country club is perfect for golfing in the daytime and dining and drinking in the evening. The club includes a variety of recreational facilities within the club and a couple of places to grab something to eat and drink including their restaurant, the Palm View Grill and the Mountain View Lounge which is open for happy hour 7 days a week- what more could you ask for? Not to mention, the club also hosts a Champagne brunch every Sunday so it’s the perfect place to head to after mass with the family so it’s a great place to relax during the sweltering summer. Address: 29875 Menifee Lakes Dr.

Eller Park: This Park is big enough for the whole family and has something for everyone. The park includes a lighted baseball field, basketball courts, play structures, picnic tables, BBQ grills, and a running/jogging track. I chose this park amongst the others because it has amenities that cater to all ages and is the perfect place to cool off whether it be hosting a birthday party for your toddler or having a picnic with your significant other- it has something for everyone. Address: Highway 74 and Antelope Road

BJ’s Restaurant & Brew house: Escape the summer heat at BJ’s with their specialty beers and amazing food. BJ’s caters to whatever your taste buds desire because their menu is as thick as an encyclopedia; their full of options including lunch specials, happy hour, diet meals, dessert, soups, salads, ribs, steaks, pasta, and any alcoholic beverage you can think of and I’m just scratching the surface of all the different food and drinks you can order. BJ’s is especially perfect for the students of Mt. San Jacinto College because it is only a couple minutes away; it’s literally right around the corner for your happy hour needs. Address: Countryside Marketplace, 30208 Haun Rd

Pitstop Pub Sports Bar & Grill: This grill is great for a laid-back getaway after work or school. Pitstop has all the fixings including pool tables, multiple TV’s, a DJ, a dance floor, an open mic night, live musicians and let’s not forget the very essential happy hour! This grill is also a local favorite because true to their name, they’re the go-to spot for sporting events and game showings with a TV at every angle. Make sure to stop by especially this summer since its FIFA soccer season!  Address: 26900 Newport Rd

Provecho Grill: This Mexican restaurant and grill is a local favorite and has generated a lot of buzz. Provecho offers live music, happy hour (not to mention their popular margaritas), a cute little patio to enjoy the sunset, and unique Mexican pastries. The restaurant has beautiful Day of the Dead décor on their walls and an eclectic vibe that will make you want to dance all night this summer! Address: 26862 Cherry Hills Blvd

The Countryside Marketplace: This is one of the gems of Menifee and it’s like a mini mall outside that caters to your every need. The marketplace includes a Starbucks, Baskin Robins, BJ’s, Red Robin, In-N-Out, Panera Bread, Target, Styles for less, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Tilly’s, and that’s just a small portion of everything this hot spot has to offer. So grab an iced coffee or an ice cream cone (or a beer) to cool down and get ready to shop till you drop! Address: 30000 Haun Rd

Painted Earth: Well enough about food and drinks- pick up your paint brush and let your creative juices flow with this fun and relaxing pottery and art studio that is perfect for any age. At Painted Earth, you can take pottery, canvas painting, clay, and glass fusing classes and there’s even summer art camps for kids and pre-teens! There’s rooms for parties and events, so you can take your friends or the whole family for some artsy fun and relaxation! Address: Countryside Marketplace, 30010 Haun Rd
