Volunteers are invited to help beautify Menifee while building community pride during the fourth annual Menifee Better Together event. Volunteers will assist with minor home improvements such as window washing and cleanup for seniors, as well as general community clean up in Quail Valley.

The City of Menifee, Inland Valley Habitat for Humanity and the Menifee Interfaith and Community Service Council, along with hundreds of volunteers, will be working together to beautify the community on Saturday, April 23 from 8 am to 12 pm. Projects are located in the Sun City and Quail Valley communities.

Anyone 12 years and older may register in advance at www.justserve.org to participate. Volunteers should meet on April 23 at 7:30 am at the Sun City Civic Center, 26850 Sun City Boulevard, for the Habitat for Humanity senior home revitalization or senior home window washing and porch cleaning projects. Volunteers may also meet at Kabian County Park, 28001 Kabian Park Road, to participate in Quail Valley community cleanup projects.

A light breakfast for volunteers is provided by Miller Jones Mortuary and a barbeque for the volunteers will immediately follow the event, which will be hosted by Evans Brown Mortuary.

Sun City residents may request help with projects by calling Habitat for Humanity at (951) 296-3362. Quail Valley residents may use bins provided by Waste Management to drop-off trash or unwanted bulky items at Kabian Park between 8 am and noon.

Volunteers are asked to bring their own cleaning supplies, window cleaner, paper towels and buckets. They are also advised to bring water, work gloves, work boots, a hat and sunscreen.
